Plant labels and marking — why pencil, not marker
In short: Three weeks after sowing all seedlings look the same. A label with date and variety is one of the simpler improvements that changes garden management.
Labels — simple thing, big gains
I sowed without labels for two seasons. Result: mixed seedlings, forgotten varieties, pricking out at the wrong time.
